Bringin’ The Hammer Down on Finals
The end is nigh and this is your last stand against all that is good and evil. You must look deep inside your hearts, be swift with your attack and give no quarter! This is where all your training and fighting will finally pay off. Now my warriors of Asgard, go out there and defeat the enemy, defend your home land and we will all see each other again in Valhalla! Or go listen to Amon Amarath’s “Twilight of the Thunder God” and pass your tests.
Guy’s Night! Partyyyy! Okay maybe not quite the same thing, but hey get the squad together for one last rendezvous and study your face off for the only test that matters. Make it fun with the crew by turning the final into a game. Have a score keeper take turns asking questions on the test like Jeopardy or Who Wants to be a Millionaire. Competition among the group will help you memorize the answers better! So grab the textbooks, find those flash cards, buy some drinks and somebody please get the pizza man on speed dial!
Talk to the Professor
Okay gang, check this out. What is the easiest way to know what is going to be on the test? Answer: go to talk to the professor about the test. Remember you are paying these dudes to help you get an education and pass the final. They are there to make sure you pass. I have gone to see my professor almost before every test just to double check on what I need to do. And the weirdest thing happened, he told me! So please visit your professor and have paper with you to take notes.
There were times in astronomy class that I would look back at my notes, and I thought they were hieroglyphics. Where is Indiana when I need him, right? Well due to falling asleep a time or ten during the years I took space class, I had to re-write my notes to be able to read them. Turns out, this allowed me to memorize the notes due to writing them down more than once. Now everyone is different, but hand writing has benefits. Yeah sure it is cool to print out all the slides, but feel free to make as many notes as possible. In fact, use different colored highlighters and pens to help distinguish between what is more important for your test!
Knock It Out Early
My major at this university is Procrastination. I love waiting to study on tests. In fact, sometimes I don’t even study because I am too cool or whatever. But after I received my test results, I wasn’t cool anymore. Do not wait till the last moment to study. Now I know there are those of you who can do this with ease, but for the rest of us, cramming is insane. Study a little bit each day and pace yourself. This way, your mind won’t have information overload.
