The Campus Recycling Committee has been working to get a plan in place for the removal of recyclable material from each of the buildings on campus.
Two 3-bin trailers will come on campus in the next couple of weeks. Today we have placed two large rolling bins, one green for plastics and one blue for paper, in the downstairs stairwell. We have also distributed two smaller bins, one green for plastics and one blue for paper, to each department in the building. Please empty the contents of the smaller ones into the larger bins.
There are three Representatives in the Rassman Building that will oversee these bins: Jason Brake ( IT); Dr. Parag Dhumal (MM) and Jennifer Stephens (MM). We also have ROTC cadets that have adopted the Rassman and MCS buildings. They will be responsible for empting the large dumpsters into the trailer when it is parked in front of our buildings. Right now we have the Texas Department of Aging and Disability picking up the paper and they will continue to do so. Mainly the plastics and cans will go in the big trailer, but some paper as well.
